Centre for Education, Research and Innovation for ICT (CERIT) created by the Faculty of Informatics and Institute of Computer Science prepares and integrates projects, which together form the robust and synergistic concept for the promotion of research, applications and innovations in ICT on Masaryk University. Stand on their own activities based on interdisciplinary work in partnership with other national centers of research and development and identifying national and international institutions in areas of significant social interest. It focuses on strategic projects and long-term development concept including technical support and operational activities.
CERIT-SC is a national center providing flexible storage and computing capacity and related services, including support for their experimental use. At the same time conducting research and development in the field of flexible e-infrastructures.
Preparation and implementation of projects witch construct modern infrastructure for research and teaching in the area of MU – Botanická street in 2010 – 2020. It also includes support for other activities in the field of ICT, including links to the creative industries, services and working environment.
Science Park at the Faculty of Informatics and the Institute of Computer Science. Science Park provides facilities for start-ups and established companies in the ICT, benefiting from synergies with research and teaching capacities MU.
In the specific field of ICT functionally and effectively complements the long-established system of support for technology transfer at Masaryk University.
In accordance with the Statute of Masaryk University,CERIT mission is scientific, research, development and innovation activities in the field of informatics. It contributes to the support of educational activities of the Faculty of Informatics, creates conditions for the operation and further development of the CERIT-SC as an essential part of national large infrastructures for research, development and innovation.
